Designed by renowned architects Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates, Westhaven Golf Club is a private, championship 18-hole golf course, in Franklin, Tennessee, from land developer Southern Land Company. The name derives from the adjacent upscale community, Westhaven, from which the 200 acres best suited to golf were chosen from its original 1,500. As a “core” course, none of the Westhaven homes will line the course; this allows members to enjoy a true golfing experience in a completely natural setting.

The Developer
As developer of the Westhaven Golf Club, Southern Land Company applies the same attention to detail used in the development of 20 luxury communities in as many years. With homes ranging in the $350s to more than $4 million, located in major metropolitan areas in Tennessee and Texas, the firm’s experience is broad and multi-layered, and has garnered many awards. The Westhaven neighborhood is known for its park-like setting, lush horticulture, and historic architecture, which will extend to the private golf course.

Description of a Core Golf Course
Unlike the vast majority of residential golf clubs built over the past 50 years, Westhaven Golf Club will be designed using a traditional “core” configuration reminiscent of the finest courses from golf’s golden age of architecture. As such, Westhaven Golf Club is a development separate from the Westhaven community; homes will not line the course. This allows the serious golfer true escape, an absence of distraction, and magical hours spent communing with the game and with nature.
